What happened to Check Disk?

I noticed that in SP2 that Check Disk is no longer a listed option. What happened? Did Microsoft decide to do away with Check Disk for SP2 or is this a fluke? Either way, how do we go about checking our hard drive for errors and fixing them?

Hi

Double-click on My Computer, select the appropriate disk, then go to File>Properties>Tools - Error-checking. Alternatively type the following from a command prompt:

chkdsk /?

Thanks, Will and Carey, that did it. I'm just curious; I know that in Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance that the Chkdsk option was listed, but in SP2 it isn't. Is this an intentional design change? If so, what was the reasoning?

I do not have XP SP2 and Error Checking (chkdsk.exe) is not in the Control
Panel, never has been.

[[In addition to using the command-line version of Chkdsk, you can run
Chkdsk from My Computer or Windows Explorer.]]

Chkdsk was "never" listed in control panel!

Okay...I must be in early Alzheimers. I could have sworn it was on the Control Panel. That's what I get for spending so much time on 98.
