I asked this question and get no response. There is no one who has had
problems with SP3? No "alleged" MVS that can answer the problem.

Lord knows if someone, by mistake, post asking about oulook express you are
all over them like you know what.

I posted about SP3 with this:
Since I applied SP3 to OL2002 I have had problems with OL crashing or
partial crash. There are times where I can read mail but can't send or get
any menu bar to work. Other times nothing works in OL. Ol worked fine
until sp3.

Is there anyone who can answer this??

I KNOW that most who answer are volunteers. I to have in the past helped out
when I could and helped with problems. I would also stick with the person
until the problem was solved.

This is where Microsoft says to go for the best answers. So far only if
it's easy question for an easy answer.

What other configurations do you have on your computer? Is your personal
folder saved on a network drive? Please describe :)

Hmmm - I see precisely one post from you about this on 3/18 - be patient,
young grasshopper. :-).

As you've mentioned, you know that these are peer support groups, not a
direct line to Microsoft....if you need immediate help, you can call MS
Product Support Services for a fee....

If you don't get replies at all, perhaps you need to provide more detail as
to your problem. What's your OS? What do you see in your application event
logs, presuming you aren't on 9x/ME? Have you made sure you don't have any
add-ins that may be causing the problem? Using Wordmail? Did you see
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems ?

Windows XP. Nothing in event logs. When I first start up OL 2002 it
retrievs email. I am able to read the mail but then if I try anything in
the menu bar I get no response. Can't click on any item up there. Only
way to close is to ctr-alt-del. Then I have problems restarting. I get no
action upon restarting but find outlook.exe in taskmanager. I have to close
that and then I can only boot in OL safe mode. Close safe mode and I then
work with OL in regular mode.

This has all happened since installing SP3. Only addin is Norton Anti-spam
(any ideas on how to dump it?). I turn norton off and it still shows up as
an adin but still shows up.

Norton Antispam is listed on the slipstick link I posted....allegedly is
fixed if you run Live Update (presuming your subscription is still valid) -
try that?

I'm not an expert, but I know what I would do in this situation. Remove
Outlook. Reinstall it. Update it to sp2. Get any specific updates you
need after that and move on. Good luck.

I thought I had Norton setup for automatic live updates. Guess this one
needed to be done manually. Thanks. Works with out a hitch.
