Hi,

Sometimes whenever I go to print, the printer shoots out paper with what
looks like "hieroglyphic" writing on the top of the paper. Sometimes it
will shoot one paper with 1 row of these "hieroglyphic" symbols and the same
thing for 20 or more sheets.

My first question is : Why is it doing that?
and
How do I make it stop?

Thanks

It means your computer and printer are not taking the same language.
They got confused when they first started communicating.

It may be a printer driver problem, a printer cable problem, a printer
problem, computer problem, etc.

First I suggest turning off the printer, then deleting the pint job.
That will take care of the immediate problem.

Next make sure you have the correct and most current printer driver
loaded on your computer. Next Check the cable. Make sure both ends are
properly connected and it is a good cable. Switch it out if possible with
another known good cable. Next I would check the I/O settings for the port.
