What does is mean when over the course of 5 minutes my computer goes from SUPER fast to almost non-f

When I restart my computer the internet is blazing fast.
After about 4-5 minutes, it becomes almost unusable...sooooooo slow.

My explorer.exe on the Task Menu goes to upwards of 180,000.

Someone suggested a memory leak...I don't even know what that means.

I have run all sorts of spybot, virus protection, and worm blaster
stuff, but nothing works.

Anyone have any suggestions?

PLEASE!
 
Hit Ctrl Alt And Del And look at the processes and see how many are running and your CPU usess
