I am unable to save two documents. When I try the message is: Saving the
autorecover postponed for 2008. What is wrong. How to I fix it and save the
two documents I am working on. Right now I can NOT enter any new information
and the system will not let me save what is there or close the documents.
This has not happened to me before.

Autorecover does not 'save' the documents. It saves autorecover information.
The only way to save a document is to actually save it eg CTRL+S or file >
save.

Word 2008 suggests a Mac version of Word, so you would be better asking in a
MacWord forum for ideas why Word has crashed and what to do about it.
