what causes a header not to be stationary?

in word 2003, I saved a document that someone else formatted. On the last
page I input a page break and formated the last page to be landscape. the
rest of the document is portrait. I moved the header information to the left
a little bit then I started typing on the last page of my document. The
header is now moving constantly back and forth and I cannot figure out why or
how to fix it. Please help.

Thanks

Hi =?Utf-8?B?c291cHk=?=,

Hmmm. Something is definitely wrong, but I'm not sure whether you've mistyped,
or if it's in what you did. Inserting a PAGE break will not allow you to change
a single page in a document to a different orientation. This would require a
SECTION break.

Assuming this is what you meant
- can you describe a bit more exactly what you mean by "the header is now
moving constantly back and forth". My inner eye is seeing a header doing a dance
on the page, but I doubt that's what you mean...

- were you careful to turn off "Save as Previous" for this new section's
header? If not, Word won't allow you to define a separate header for the
contiguous sections.
