i'm wondering how to create a template in word and protect it so that margin
changes or anything else does not affect the template. also, anyone have any
info as far as what types of art files (ie: jpeg, bitmap, etc...) work best
when using graphics or logos to create a template.

thanks!!!

Anchor the graphic to the header/footer layer of the template, and in Format
Picture | Layout | Advanced, position the graphic relative to the page
instead of to the paragraph. As for what graphic file format to use, see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=320314 "Description of the guidelines for
selecting the appropriate picture format in an Office XP program".
