When I go to "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control
Panel,there are two entries--"Python 2.2 combined Win32
extensions" and "Python 2.2.1" each are 22.69MB--can
anyone please tell me what these are and if I need them;
also, what is "PS2"? Can anyone tell me, please?

Go to Google and Do a Search for PYTHON 2.2.21 Before typeing in
your SEARCH click on ADVANCE Then under EXACT PHRASE type in PYTHON
2.2.1 Then do another Search for Python 2.2

you will find out what it is VIRUS or PROGRAM

Not to make it too easy for you. Python is a computer language, and
the extensions give you a nice gui on windows. They are legitimate
programs, and should have entries on the start menu somewhere
for you to be able to run them. They would also hav had to be
installed by someone(like you) either as stand alone programs
or as a program used by another program. So far as I know,
there aren't any viruses or other malware that uses the python
program to hide in, but I could be wrong.

Don't know what PS2 is, unless you mean Play Station 2.

Hope this helps.

Hi - I just asked a HP Support Agent about the same thing and PS2 is related
to the keyboard and mouse. I also received the below info on the Python
programs.

Thanks Terry

PS2 is indeed something to do with the keyboard and mouse.. the small round
plugs found on the end of mice and keyboards are of the type used on the old
IBM PS2 computers originally.. prior to that, computer mice were terminated
in a small 9 pin 'D' serial type, and keyboards used a 5 pin DIN..
