What are these grey lines on screen?? Am i the ony one to experiance this?

Grey lines have appeared on my desktop where there is
text or the edge of a box. It's not the monitor as i
checked with another. Iv'e run virus scans with norton
and checked the system with sisandra and no problems with
video card show. Also updated display driver & tried
older vertions.

Need some help tnx
 
If these extend to the right _only_ then it sounds a bit like a problem
with the DACs in your video card. Check the cooling fan is still running if
one is fitted?

Do you have an NVIDIA video card? If so, this is most likely the
problem. I have one and this happened to me a few days ago. Looks like
it's time to replace it.

its left & right and the lines move with opened
windows...will check what you said about the cooling fan
tho. tnx
