What are the symbols beside emails listed in the Inbox?

I refer to symbols beside emails listed in Inbox, Sent Items, etc. Such as an
envelope with an arrow pointing left, or an arrow pointing right, oracircle
enclosing the letter "i". In Help, I've found symbols for the Calendar but
not for the Inbox.

Replied, forwarded, tracked.

After furious head scratching, ralph asked:

The arrows indicate that you forwarded or replied to a message.
Don't know what the "i" stands for in this context, but it would normally
indicate "information" to me.
