What is safer a wep with a key code or an equivelent wpa-psk - BT insist that
there is no need to upgrade however bbc recently published story saying how
easy it is to hack wep wireless now - any info/ideas?

Bottom line, WPA-PSK is safer than WEP, WEP encryption something in the past
unless you are using something higher than 128 Bits Key like 450 if I'm right
and this only for Big Security agents or organisations , state body wise not
normal users.
WPA like the password created for an E-mail, if elect a good hard to guess
or crack one then you are safe.
HTH.

David,

WPA is definitely more secue than WEP. It is actually an upgrade of
WEP since it's been known that WEP's encryption can easily be hacked.
Make sure the router is also capable of WPA since some models don't...
