Hi Chris,

Customize the logon screen wallpaper, screensaver and other settings using Tweak UI:
http://www.winxptutor.com/tweaklogon.htm

Applying the Power management settings for the logon desktop:

Login to an admin-level account and customize the Power Options accordingly (turn off sleep/hibernate modes). Once done, close the Power Options dialog box. To export the Power settings of the current user account, type the following in Start, Run dialog:

REG EXPORT "HKCU\Control Panel\PowerCfg" C:\Power.REG

Then, open C:\Power.reg with Notepad. Use the "Replace" option to replace every occurence of the string "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" with "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT". Save the file and close Notepad. Then right-click the file (C:\Power.REG) and choose Merge. Now, the power settings of the current user account is copied to the Welcome screen, technically the logon desktop.

Where do i adjust the Welcome screen settings for Screensaver, Standby, etc...?

Thank you! I had gotten TweakUI but hadn't seen the ScreenSaver setting, and
I never would have figured out the other. Just out of curiosity, is this any
easier with Vista?

You're welcome Chris. Hope the Power management setting worked for the Welcome Screen.
