Welcome Screen instantly logs me off

I hope someone can help. When I put in my password at the Welcome screen, xp
flashes and automatically logs me off (saving your settings). I have tried F8
to get to safemode and every other mode. It still happens. Has anyone else
experienced this? Any suggestions?

Have you recently removed malware? If so see these links:
