Welcome screen and unread emails

I am sorry if this is the wrong place for this post

A little while ago my friend came and signed in with the
MSN Messenger with his .NET passport. He had 329 unread
mail messages.

After he finished, I signed in with mine and I had 1 new
mail messages.

After I finished, when I logged off to switch user, I
found that under my account name, it showed 330 new mail
messages!

How can I make it show only the mail messages that I have
and not my friend's?

Download and install tweakui for xp and use its repair mail count feature or
use it to turn the mail count off completely.

Or edit the registry and delete the mail accounts you don't want:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail
