Hi,

I have a couple of computers that when they're in excel and click a cell, it
doesn't become unclicked and therefore whenever you move the mouse it
selects everything in it's path... like clicking and holding down shift then
scrolling around. I have reinstalled office, reapplied service packs, detect
and repaired - nothing fixes. And it's on different documents too across
different user profiles...

Any help please!!!!
Thanks

Could it be you're in EXTend mode.

Look at the statusbar at the bottom right. If you see EXT in one of those
embossed boxes, hit the F8 key.

If that's not it, David McRitchie has a bunch of notes about mouse problems at:
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/ghosting.txt

(I'd try a different mouse -- or even gently bang on the buttons (including the
wheel button) to see if that helped.)

Maybe something similar with the keyboard (banging on the shift/ctrl keys, that
is.)

Hi

Some spyware has such effect on infected computer. Download Ad-Aware or
Spybot (or both), scan those computers and delete all found components.
Additionally delete all contents of Cookies, Temp, and Temporary Internet
Files folders on computer (with Win2000 or WinXP as OS there are such
forlders for every user).
