weird window problem

Hi,

It seems that the display drivers are corrupted thereby rendering the
default resolution of 640 * 480.

Try to remove the drivers from Device Manager, When windows prompts that the
display adapter is detected then insert the driver disk for the display
adapter and reinstall the drivers. You will be prompted to restart the
computer. Once it restarts then you will be able to view at a higher
resolution.

For some programs, I am not able to see complete window contents. I have
tried fixing it, but to no avail. Here's an example posted:

The three programs that I have noticed are Winamp, Windows Media Player
and dxdiag.exe(DirectX diagnostic utility).

From what I've seen, Windows doesn't work well with over-sized text.
This particular window is a perfect example; the window is designed to
display a specific amount of text, but you've over-sized the fonts and
there isn't room for everything.

To keep everything proportional:

Open Display Properties, click the Settings tab, Advanced button, and
change the DPI setting to "Normal size". If you want larger text, bring
the resolution down on the Settings tab, "Screen Resolution", Less, from
1152 by 864 to 1024 by 768, e.g.

The same thing could have happened if you changed the Appearance tab
settings. Click Advanced button, change "Item:" to "Message Box" and
change the Font size. Fooling with these settings, you could make
everything both fit, and be legible, if you have a larger monitor,
probably a minimum of 17"..

Joe, thanks very much for the insightful. I could fix it. Shame on
Microsoft for awarding Mr. Rajesh a MVP.
