Weird Things happening when I updated my XP

Okay here's the quick easy way to explain this: After updating all my MS WIndows XP files I restarted my cpu and all of a sudden it says I have no audio hardware on my CPU, no sound card at all! So I decided to check around in my device manager and guess what NOTHING was listed at all, nothing! Can anyone please please help me with this? Thanks for anything!
 
it is probably listed as something else, or as a question mark.
uninstall that and erboot and see what happens.
