Weird problem

Hi guys!

One of my users had this problem a while ago. She created a 29 slide
presentation from her laptop running Windows XP and after finishing and
saving it she copied the file into a flash disk so she can give a copy to a
colleague. In short the same presentation was transferred from one laptop to
another via flash disk, now it starts to get a bit weird, when the
presentation was opened on the "other" laptop, slides 13 and 14 were blank
but all the rest are ok. We compared the presentation on a per slide basis
but we did not see any abnormalities except for the two slides being blank.
The file size is identical and both laptops are running powerpoint 2003. We
tried re copying using different media even through LAN but it still the same.

Hi,

First, you could try fixing errors by round tripping. That is, save to html
and reopen the html file in PowerPoint. However, it probably will not help
in this case. Second, I'd be happy to pass the file onto someone to have a
look at, if you like. But you may not get a personal response back from
anyone.

Please tell us your PowerPoint version,
whether you are using vba,
whether your dog has fleas, or
anything else relevant.

The user is using MS Office 2003, and both laptops were using the same
version of Office. The presentation is fairly simple, it has a jpeg image for
the backrgound and the rest is all text. She is not using vba, she did not
apply any animation or any form of slide enhancement.

Hi,

Have you checked for updates? SP1 for PowerPoint 2003 is very important.
