Hi. I don't really know if this should be here or in one of the Security sections, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place. Here's the problem. I set up TCP/IP to use an alternate configuration if the other one is not usable because I use this computer on 2 networks (A is school, B is home). Network A needs TCP/IP to obtain the ip and dns servers automatically. Network B needs to use a specific ip, etc. (this is TCP/IP's alternate configuration). Last weekend I was home and I went to My Network Places and saw what was supposed to be there, and 2 really weird things named "Randi's Bitch", then after a few seconds the window went blank. Now I can't access the home network, but I can still browse the Internet. I ran NAV LiveUpdate and Windows Update. I opened a C:\ prompt and pinged the other computer on the network as well as the router, and it worked. So far I haven't noticed any other strange things. I never opened any suspicious email attachments and I have enabled the Internet Connection Firewall (Network A is often infested with viruses, etc.). I've done everything I could think of to find the problem, but with no luck.
