| Hi,
|
| I am facing a weird problem. I am a tier one Desktop technician myself but I
| am not being able to figure it out. I have a VIA C3 800MHz pc, i810e
| chipset, 256MB SDRAM, 80GB HDD.
|
| I installed Windows 98SE on it and it is running smoothly. But I tried
| windows XP and after installation completes it doesnot boot, just before the
| desktop normally appears my screen goes blank with small flashing white dots
| almost like twinkling stars in a dark sky. Some result with Windows 2K pro.
| I even tried linux Redhat, Fedore Core 3 just to see if I can get something
| out of it. But result is almost same. No other os is booting accept windows
| 98. I guess there is some hardware problem in my onboard graphics or so
| compatibility issue. I would like to know if there are anyother option left
| which I can try before changing the motherboard and processor.
