HELP! Whenever anyone sends me any attachments with e-
mail that's been composed in OUTLOOK EXPRESS, it will NOT
display on my computer. These e-mails are from people I
know and trust and it happens with ALL of them. I get
the following message appearing in the rectangular box
above where the body of the e-mail should be:
OE Removed access to the following unsafe attachments in
your mail: blah, blah, blah... Anyone have any
solutions???? HELP!!

Launch OE and click on Tools > Options > Security [tab]. Under Virus Protection
section, uncheck "Do not allow attachments.....", then click on the Apply & OK
buttons.

Open Outlook Express, then on the menu,
Tools.Options/security tab, uncheck the 4th box. Be sure to
be careful and have a current virus scanner working.

In OE go to tools/options/security and untick "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus". Be aware of the risk!

Thank you for the help, everyone! How simple that was.
Since I don't use Outlook Express, I didn't know about
that setting. I use Incredimail and subscribe to McAfee
VirusScan OnLine. I get automatic updates and it
includes e-mail scanning. I knew these attachments were
legitimate, because some of them have been sent from a co-
worker to all the rest of the High School Employees. We
have a anti-virus program on the network and if there'd
been a problem with the attachment, it would have been
deleted on the school's server. I tried to forward it to
my home e-mail and that's when I discovered the issue.
Thanks again!
