You state you must CAD (turn me awhile to figure CTRL+ALT+DEL). The Close
button doesn't work?
If not, then that means Add/Remove is trying to process the Registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
and is having problems with any entry, which in turn is hanging the
application (rundll32.exe).
To pinpoint the culprit down, is easy if you have RegMon, a freeware app
from
www.sysinternals.com.
Do you hav that, if so, start it, tell it to capture rundll32.exe entries,
and then start up Add/Remove. It should hang on the entry causing the
problem.
You can then go into the registry and fix it.

Got a strange one here. When I run Control Panel\Add or Remove
Software, the window opens, but doesn't say "Wait while list is being
populated," as it used to. Now the AoRS window remains blank, and
nothing happens. I have to CAD to remove the window.
Can anyone help with this?
Many thanks.
