Hello!

I know this is off the topic, but I didn't know which group to post to.

I want to get my website listed with search engines like Yahoo and Google.
What is the cheapest and most effective way to do this? I have been looking
around and find that most companies charge for this. I don't mind paying,
but don't have a lot of money. Is there a "free" way of doing this?

Yes there are free methods. Usually you will find a link
to such facilities on each search engine. Once you're on
one engine it sometimes only takes a month or so for the
others to find you.

I have a search page @ www.rogerlovejoy.co.uk/search.htm
on which there is a link to altavista's free listing.
