hello! im using windows vista premium, and i installed my CREATIVE Live Cam
Optia, i installed it properly but they keep on tellin' there's an error with
the installing and when i opened the camera icon and start clicking the photo
capture or video recording or any button options, it always says " The Live
Cam is not available, it may be used by another application" what do u think
is the problem regarding this matter?

thnx very much!

See my posts on 5/26 re my Veo webcam. I had similar problems &
finally ended up buying a new Micro Inovations webcam on sale at Frys
for $7. It works just fine. Webcams seem to be one area that have a
lot of problems with Vista (but they certainly aren't the only ones).

Hi olvho:
You have one of the best webcam on the market (only second to my Logitech
Ultra Vision...hehe). With the webcam plugged in the USB, go to the Control
Panel and under Device Manager, find your webcam under Imaging Devices. Right
click and uninstall the camara. The webcam info will be gone, then unplug the
webcam.
Go to Creative and find your webcam and download the latest Vista driver
(see end of post). This download contains an improved version of the driver
found on the Live!® Cam Optia installation CD. It adds Microsoft® Windows
Vistaâ„¢ support for your Live! Cam.
Run and install the driver. Plug the webcam and let Vista install the
Creative driver.
Enjoy the webcam.
