Hey all,
Pretty new to Frontpage. I have made a simple website using the corporate wizzard and would like to modify the side bars. After looking at the code, all I see this string: <!--webbot bot="Navigation" s-type="children" s-orientation="vertical" s-rendering="graphics" -->

What I am trying to do is that on the side, there are buttons and I want them to say something else other then "Press Release 1" so on and so forth. I have tried editing the images themselves, but that didnt go over to well. Any advice?

Michael

Click on the Navigation View, then click the page name and rename.

Hi Michael,

The wizard creates navigation buttons based on the navigation structure of
your web site. If you go into navigation view, then rename page and/or drop
and drag pages onto or off of the navigation hierarchy, the button text
should change accordingly.

Hope this helps,

The 'web bots' are frontpage generated components and cannot be altered.

If you want customised navigation or menu bars, create your own. The most
Frontpage allows is changing the text on the pre-created buttons. Using the
hoverbutton (or interactive button in FP 2003) I think you can 'overlay' your own
images and that gives you some flexibility, but otherwise the idea is to make
your own buttons in an image editor. If you want something quick and easy, you're
stuck with Frontpages themes and layout templates.

Please post in plain text in future, not HTML.

No problem. Double-click the button bar, which brings up the link bar
properties box. Select the link you want to modify and click modify link. At
the top, change the text in the "text to display" box.
