New PC and XPhome using AOL to view webpages. Problem is that AOL's home page and some other newspaper sites have text lines clipped off as if the text were in a box and last lines of text didn't fit in the box. (viewing is fine on old PC and win95) I assume it must be a type of webpublishing software used by the webmaster that XP doesn't recognize. I've downloaded flash but have the same symptons.
hope someone can help.

Sounds like a combination of problems.
The webpage designers must have certain programming that
allows the page to properly resize for your computer (I
think this is called "cgi").
Next, your screen resolution must be within the limits
the webpage designer used.
It can also make a difference that your browser is up-to-
date, and can make a significant difference if there are
different browsers on each of the computers you mention.
(AOL doesn't have a browser. It uses the default on your
PC.)

Is the resolution and browser the same on all computers?

I used 800x600 in both win95 and winxp, although settled on 1200x800 on winxp. I tried the five different resolution settings on winxp and they all had same text chopped off at the same places in the text boxes. (of course changing the resolution did change size of readable font)
I have noticed the same chopped off text viewing some other news sites and still looking for the reason why they are chopped off. I read two other posts with similar issues and will ask them if they solved their problems
tks for hel
