I have two XP computers networked to a satellite modem.
The gateway computer is protected with Zone Alarm Pro and
I keep it updated with the latest Windows updates, the
client computer has had no updates.

I also enjoy creating slide shows for my web pages using
third party software. Major problem: The web shows
created on my gateway computer look great and run fine
from my hard drive. After uploading, however, I see only
a black square where the images should be and receive an
error message "Image not created with (software name)."

On my client computer, without any Windows updates, the
web shows can be viewed just fine. I suspect the problem
must lie in browser settings on my gateway computer, but
after lowering Internet security and just about every
other setting, I still cannot view the images from the
web. Any suggestions or comments?

Becuase you are expecting to use a Java applet, I suspect you are mising
Java on the "client" computer. Get official copy from Sun at www.java.com
