Is there any web server that will work on XP home edition? I need a web
server to do some development and really really don't want to spend $200 to
upgrade to pro just for IIS.
Can IIS install on XP home or another type of web server?

thx

Windows XP Home Edition is not designed to work with any version of IIS.
An upgrade to Windows XP Professional will give you IIS.

I'm hanging on to a copy of Win 98 as I have had problems with Apache on Windows Home XP since security patch Dec/Jan.

Lack of IIS in Win XP home has pushed me to start to learn more about Linux (free and more versitile although migraine inducing!).
