web pictures

A friend sends pics along with text to me via his web
page. Some arrive and some do not whether he sends to my
email address at Hotmail or through Outlook Express.
Anyone have a clue as to the problem? Where the picture
should be is a small box with a red "x" through it. I
repeat, some arrive, some do not!
Help here will be appreciated!

Perhaps the friend is uses various formats. Have them sent as .jpg files,
which both your Hotmail WEB interface, and your O.E. mail client (for your
ISP's POP3 mail server) should be able to understand.
