Hi- I just created and launched a small business website- I'm on XP Home, w/Front Page 2002- Have a server w/ftp extensions
Viewed webpage on various PC's and all seemed fine so launched it, got it submitted, etc. Now I find out the site is not being vieved right on Macs (pages- text not in boxes), (Text doesn't line up on various different computers, not only Mac) or people get error messages, or can only be viewed in Explorer- help, it is a business site - I'm a newbie at HTML- do certain codes affect the interpretation on other computers
Other XP users have no problems. Site is dollrarities.com. Would appreciate any help on this matter- (If viewed, it is slow, need to work on my images

URL ?

Most likely you designed your pages using absolute positioning which is not
well supported, where you really should have designed your pages based on
tables.

These problems are occurring because you used Absolute
Positioning to "nail" content in place. Unfortunately,
different browsers interpret the positioning measurements
differently. The solution is to use HTML tables for
arranging your content.

Absolute Positioning is one of my Top Ten Traps for New

Tom- Thank you kindly- So if I were to remove the items that I used absolute positioning on,and replaced w/tables, it should then be O.K

Jim- Thank you so much- I'm pretty new at this, but, a quick learner (just started doing a little HTML two days ago!) So, if I were to delete the absolute positioning command off the certain item and reposition by HTML spacing, it should work for all viewers
Layering/positoning (move front, move to back) doesn't create a problem too, does it
I cetainly appreciate your help, Thank you

So, I can't layer Images at all? Is there any way to layer images with HTML? ((just overlapping some, not totally)
Thank you for your time and help.

Merge the images into one in a image application.

Yes, Picture IT code be use, however it is more for working with photos,
then to create graphics and text images.

FYI: In the future please include the original question and any previous
responses, so that others who maybe able to help know what the original
issue was and was solutions had already been offered.
