I have recently, with a lot of help, cleared the damage done by a virus and also recovered my net connection which had also been affected. I now find that when I load a web page there is no longer a white elongated box at the top left of the page where I can enter my next web address and the only way to navigate is to use the list of Favourites.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks, Wes,

There is now a small box labelled "Address" at the extreme right at the end of the usual web page icons but am unable to enter any url in this which is too small anyway. Any suggestions ro rectify, please?

Wes,

address bar recovered at last after a lot of dragging in the area you suggested. Thanks again for your help

Lon,

Glad you got it back. To avoid losing it again.

To lock toolbars in place
[[On the View menu in Internet Explorer, point to Toolbars, and then click
Lock the Toolbars.
A check mark next to Lock the Toolbars indicates that the toolbars cannot be
moved. To unlock the toolbars, click Lock the Toolbars again to clear the
check mark.]]

Keep having fun!
