Hi there

When looking at web pages and scrolling over the page , an outlined box
appears on some parts of the page and it highlights in a box 'CLICK OR PRESS
SPACEBAR TO ACTIVATE & USE THIS CONTROL'

Please can anyone help me to solve this problem

Any particular website or lots of different ones? What is the malware
status of the computer? If you think it is clean, what did you use to
determine this (names/versions of programs)?

Be sure your computer is clean:

Well, I wouldn't rely on one beta program to tell me my Windows machine
was clean. But assuming it is, maybe you don't have the codecs
necessary to play the item. If you give us some urls for some of the
websites where it happens, people can check it out for you.

This was caused by a recent update to Internet Explorer and how it handles
ActiveX controls. No fix. Sorry.

Thanks, Richard. So I guess the OP could use Firefox instead?

At this point a rascal would answer, "But doesn't EVERYONE?!?"

:-)

Actually, I don't; and this will be a passing problem at worst. Once Web
sites re-code their embedded objects the immediate problem will go away.
