I created a web site from the 'themes' on front page 2002 it shows up fine on my monitor but lines are all over the place in a smaller monitor, how can this be fixed so all monitor sizes can view my web site. Thank-you in advance.

Can you provide a URL?

Use tables/cells and the alignment properties to structure your page layout, NOT the space bar.

is it too late too do that since i've got the web page already finished (will I have to do the whole site over?) and will this change where my pic's are?...I've only been working with FP since Jan. and also i have only been computer literate for a few years, so I'm still very new with the 'lingo'...thanks for your assistance ;-)

If you want to solve the problem then you will need to redesign your pages. You can insert a table
with rows and columns as needed into the page, and then cut and paste the existing text into the
table. Remember to delete any spaces use to center your text.

You won't mess up anything, and it's real easy to do.

Create an empty table below your existing layout on each page, then just drag and drop your stuff into the table cells. You will have to play around with how many columns and rows you'll need but you'll get the hang of it. And like Thomas said...dump the space bar entries.

Then save the page, and re-Publish...piece o'cake.

Of course you can. ...just don't play around with not using a Theme on one page...at least that has been my undoing.

Two things that will make you slightly insane with FP...Themes & Shared Borders - eventually you may want to move away from using them.

Yes, you can insert a table on a page that has a theme applied.

ohkee dohkee...now...my theme page has 4 sections, TOP, LEFT SIDE, BOTTOM all these are on all my pages (7) and CENTER or THE INFO SECTION, which is different on all those pages...do I insert a table at the bottom of every section then drag the information into it...also do i set the properties in pixels...how many is the regular size? (width size)

if you're using shared borders left and right you won't have much room in the center. remember you wanna keep your page about 750 px or smaller so folks with monitors built in 1853 will still be able to see your page without scrolling left and right (although with a civil war monitor they probably deserve to hafta scroll...but whadya gonna do?)

Anyway don't use a fixed table set it for percentage 100% you may have to 'speriment a little to get things just right...but DON'T drag your table borders or your table won't collapse gracefully...in fact it won't collapse at all.

never mind the shared borders comment, I see you're not using them...try not to. use a two column table or a three column table instead.

THANK-YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP...but i experiemented and it was just not working for me...so what I did was lined my sentences up better (centered) and allthough on a smaller screen the pic's and headers and footers are not centered they are at least readable...since people are starting to buy larger monitors maybe, just maybe I won't have to worry about this anymore, but just i case i photo copied all the info that i got from you...you guys were a great help...thanks ;-)))
