Does anyone else have a similiar problem? Is there a
better solution than using Microsofts web based newsgroups?
I use OE at home for viewing newsgroups, and love it.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to it at work (security
Nazi's have control). Because of this, I use the
Microsoft Community Newsgroups at
(http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups) to access
newsgroups.
However, the groups that are available on the two sources
are different. For example the ODBCclientsvr newsgroup is
not available thru the web site, although when I search
microsoft.public.access and enter the subject of one of my
messages, it does show up. Is there a reason for this?
The web interface is also difficult to use since it
doesn't keep track of which messages you have read from
one reading to another, and does not do a very good job of
displaying threads if you use the search window.
