Web Matrix program

I downloaded and installed the WebMatrix program. It will start and lets me
create the page with the controls mentioned in their tutorial, but will not
run.

How do you get the 'included server' to run?

Any advice.

You need to contact ASP.NET for questions about WebMatrix. This is a
newsgroup for Microsoft ASP.NET (and VS.NET).
 
What is the difference between ASP.NET and Microsoft ASP.NET, your reply
reads like there is two newgroups.
 
Although it wasn't my intention to get into it, there are other companies
that have come up with their own implementations of .NET.

My point was that this NG is not for support of the WebMatrix product, it is
for ASP.NET (and its use in VS.NET).

Come on...You (I??) mircrosoft people have to be a little more open to your
surroundings. The question was not offtopic. Hmm. There I just offended 5
million people.

Anyway, ASP.NET on MS.NET and ASP.NET on Mono uses the same name. And MS.NET
on webmatrix is just....ASP.NET.

I don't have a clue what you are talking about. The OP was not a question
about ASP.NET (did you read it?). The OP was a question about a problem
with WebMatrix. This NG is not for WebMatrix. What is the problem you have
with that? The OP was directed to a place where they could get the help
they need (http://ASP.NET).

Also, ASP.NET on Mono is different than ASP.NET on Windows since the
Framework is not the exact same between the two.
 
The original was an innocent posting by a new person that thought WebMatrix
was a product based on ASP.NET by Microsoft, not some knockoff called Mono.
I thought that people that use ASP.NET might have some experience with the
WebMatrix product and could answer my question.

I don't know why you are giving me such attitude on this. I think you were
originally confused by me saying you need to contact ASP.NET with your
WebMatrix questions. I assumed you knew I meant http://ASP.NET, since that
is where you get the program from in the first place.

Also, WegMatrix is meant to be used with the MS .NET Framework to build
ASP.NET applications. Mono is a non-MS version of the .NET Framework and
has nothing to do with WebMatrix. It was bought up because someone in this
thread had asked if there were different ASP.NET's out there.

My reply was not meant to be insulting. It was a quick reply letting you
know that you were asking your question in the wrong place.
