David ..............M............

If I right mouse click on desktop and select properties
and under display properties select desktop and then web
and select my current home page nothing is displayed on
the desktop. My homepage is a local, very simple html
file.

Similiarly if I try to set the wallpaper to winter
wonderlnad ( a downloaded html wallpaper) it is also not
displayed.

Both my home page and winterwonder land open fine in IE.

Any ideas what could be preventing html being displayed
on my desktop?

Thanks

Yes, I do have tweakUI, but I can not find the option you
mention. Could you give me some directions please?

The snapshot isn't visible, I guess attachments are not
uspported by the forum.

Weird,

If I right mouse click on the desktop, select arrange
icons by and uncheck show desktop icons the html
wallpaper appears, if I check show desktop icons it
disappears!

Do not attach snapshots in these newsgroups!

| Do you have TweakUI for Windows XP installed? If so, see the 01.JPG
| snapshot attached.
|
| There is a setting in Tweak UI to disallow web content from being added to
| the desktop, this sounds like your problem.
