I have developed a small web site written in ASP.Net. I'm based in the UK. I
cannot find a decent ISP who is prepaared to host an ASP.Net site.

Does anyone have any ideas or do I have to abandon ASP.Net because no-one
will host it.

How do you mean you cannot find an ISP to host.
Are you looking for a freebie or can you pay??

I can pay.

My existing ISP says they have no plans to host asp.net and that I will have
to go elsewhere (they currently host my non-asp.net site).

One of the major ISP's in the UK has told me that they will not host an
asp.net web site on one of their servers. I'm left with either re-writing,
putting in my own server and using dedicated hosting (even then I do not
know they will maintain my server since they don't host asp.net themselves)
or putting in a leased line and hosting it myself. Since at the moment my
web site is very small, the latter two options are disproportionately
expensive.

Thank you, however I do not feel comfortable with a transatlantic web host.
Apart from anything else I would like my adsl supplier to be the same as my
web hoster. In the past I had two different ISP's, one for hosting, one for
adsl. Whenever I had a problem accessing my web site or with my e-mails they
blamed each other and I had difficulty getting to the bottom of the problem.

I can heartily recommend www.hostinguk.net

I have the Premium Plus package which gives me Win2k3, ASP.NET, SQL2k & SSL.

Also they do multimaps which means that you can host additional sites in
your webspace which share your SQL Server etc for a fraction of the cost of
a new subscription. Integrates seemlessly with VS.NET2k3 & SQL2k Enterprise
Manager.

Plus, of course, all the other stuff you'd expect like unlimited POP3 email
addresses etc.

Thank you they look promising.

Re your earlier post re ADSL, I should point out that HostingUK.net are
*not* my ISP - I use the BlueYonder 3Mb service from TeleWest for that...
