Ditto. Netfirms is excellent. I've been using them for several years
for free hosting. What I like most is their reliability & ftp access.

Yes, we've seen some positive comments about Netfirms
and a few not so positive.

There are hundreds of reliable web hosts competively
priced.

The Good, Bad, & The Ugly list is made up of sites where
we have seen rave reviews, complaints, or horror stories,
from a broad range of sources.

Netfirms is a huge hosting company. Safe to assume they
have a huge base of satisfied customers.

any comments about your experiences with Netfirms or any

I used a hosting service (MySiteSpace) for well over a year with
no problems. Fast response from customer service, nice control
panel with Fantastico, only $4/month and never noticed a hitch.

But I've seen repeated complaints from other users who had
continuous problems with them.

Rave reviews and horror stories are just a sample of personal
experiences. No guarantees that you will or will not run into
some problems.

I could change the headings to The Really Great, The O.K., and
The Not-So-Good, but it wouldn't sound as catchy as "The Good,
The Bad, and The Ugly".

The 1GB bandwidth is a little tight but otherwise looks like
a good deal.

100WebSpace is currently the most recommended free site.
I believe mostly due to their 3GB bandwidth.

As of late,they seem to be having more downtime on some
of their servers, but overall pretty reliable.

We've had about 75+ percent positive feedback on Dreamhost
but still too small of a sampling to recommend without hesitation.
 
Its been an interesting day. We received an earful on our listing.
Ask for opinions and no one has anything to say. Post a list
that people disagree with and everyone has an opinion.
(See updated list below).

Lots of postive reviews for Netfirms, Midphase, Omnis Network,
ICDSoft, and Startlogic.
A surprising amount of negatives for Globat and Bluehost so we
had to remove them from "The Good".
Feedback on iPowerWeb was UGLY
