there is a internet ad on my desktop that i cannot remove.it is a microsoft
warning.
it is all black with yellow writing in the center and u can click on it to
go to a website.

What does the ad says? If the ad takes you to a non-microsoft website,
it could be an adware. Try running a spyware remover and see if it is an
adware.

I ran into this adware awhile ago. Adaware would not remove it.
I ended just running a system restore from a point prior to getting
the ad. It worked for me.
