Hi,

Everything I have read online states that I should be able to see Web
Folders as an item in the list of available objects with a plus sign next
to it when I browse My Computer.

However it's not there.

I can get it to appear by going into My Network Places and entering one
of the Web Folder items there until the Web folders item appears in the
list under My Computer. I need to do this because if you try to create a
Web Folder under My Network Places instead of under Web Folders it
doesn't create the correct type of folder/shortcut item.

This is driving me up the wall. Is Web Folders a special folder like My
Network Places and hiding somewhere on my hard drive?

BTW. Using XP Pro SP2 with all the latest hotfixes and IE 6 with all the
latest hotfixes for that.

Any help greatly appreciated thanks.

Open regedit & navigate to:

"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\NonEnum"

export the key for backup and then delete the value named:

{BDEADF00-C265-11D0-BCED-00A0C90AB50F}

reboot for changes to take effect.
