I installed Outlook 2000 in my new notebook. It has Windows Vista and
Outlook installs but I can not import the contacts. I keep getting this
error message:

An error occured while attempting to open the Windows Address Book. Unable
to find the WAB DLL.

Vista is not meant to support such an old version of Office. I don't think
Vista even has a WAB but I can't be sure about that. Someone will correct me
if I am mistaken.

Note you don't want to import Outlook data but use File > Open instead and
browse to the PST which is an Outlook data file - if you have one. Contacts
are part of the PST contents.

Usually a WAB is an Outlook EXPRESS address book..If you still have your old
PC available - try exporting the addresses to excel and then into Outlook

Either install it in Corporate/Workgroup mode to eliminate the Windows
Address Book dependency or see this:

That wont work, Outlook 2k uses the wab
