Just dont understand why my points flutuate so much though

Hardly touched my machine last night. I guess not being able to get online makes the difference aswell due to lack of reporting bandwidth

Ive only hit 9000points once tho. Surely and according to Ady with my CPU I shoudl be getting more?

My average is only 5000 points?

Although saying that I dont know how many machines Ady has running.

Anyway i'm doin a hell of a lot better so no point in moaning

I've nearly quadrupled my average points

You got the 4200 X2 and a A64 3500? I think thats right... Both BOINC tweaked, Both 24/7?

At a bit of a guess, I would expect to see about 6-8K give or take 1000 points each day... But start playing games and it'll drop.

Yeah 4200 X2 and 3200x64

The 3200x64 is 24/7 with no gaming

The 4200X2 is 24/7 with a few hours gaming a day if i'm lucky

Nevertheless I dont think 5000 is a justification for two such powerful machines?

Hmmm, You know what, maybe you should be getting a bit more than that.

Free DC, gives you a 7day average of 5,236. Chelseafc2005 has a X2 3800 with a daily average of 3,757. Going by that i would like to think you would score more than you are at the mo...

But, i noticed the WU's lately are bigger than usual, maybe its got something to do with that....?

Just out of interest, I would keep and eye on them and check if something is stealing CPU time, I use process explorer, give that a go, just google for it, you'll soon find it..

And there was somethings called wmiprvse.exe using 3345

Is that cause for concern?

wmiprvse.exe is fine. Click

if you double click on the WU process thats running in PE, and click on 'Performance Graph' Is it using most of the CPU? Leave it running for a while and check back ever now and again to make sure its doing what it should be.

TD - I agree with V_R - I would expect an average a bit higher than that, something like 6000-ish
