Water Droplet Sound

I suppose it could be related to IE, but I'm thinking it's XP. I have m sound scheme set to "no sounds" in control panel, but whenever I open a new window in Internet Explrer, I get this really loud and annoying water droplet sound. It's like a real high piched, "ploop." It's driving me f-ing nuts! Can anyone tell me how to make it stop before I lose it?

I have it to, but only when receiving a new mail.

It's as if the PC Speaker plays sound through the
soundcard. Very loud and very annoying.

I had it fixed by disabling PC Speaker in the BIOS.

Eddie, have you gone into the Control panel and checked on the sounds that
are being used? Just select the sounds from the control panel. You should
see a tab for sounds and a list of sounds that have been assigned different
commands. If there is a sound, there will be a small speaker next to the
word. You can click to see what the sound is, if there is one there. If you
find it, just choose "none" from the pull down menu near the bottom.

Try this, open up control panel, double click the icon
for sounds and multimedia, you should already be on
the "sounds" tab, look for any sound actions that have a
little speaker to the left side of their name, click on
one, use menu under the "name" to select none and then
click apply. Do this for any actions you don't want any
sounds for, or you can move your volume slider down all
the way so that it won't play any sounds at all. Your
options. Good luck.
