Is there a solution as to why I can't surf to ABCNEWS's homepage? When I
try the page freezes, and my System goes from under 20% CPU usage to 100%
CPU usage?

This ONLY happens when I go to (http://www.abcnews.com). I can surf to
(http://www.abc.com) with no problem. When this issue is going on for over
nine minutes, I notice activity from my DSL modem. I've scanned my System,
and used Spybot search and destroy in addition to Ad-aware 6.0. All of my
definitions are recent and up to date. What is causing this to only happen
at (abcnews.com)??

Watch what happens when I go to the site. Checkout the MOVIE:
(http://x3am.home.att.net) <@> <@>. It's just under 6 minutes, and my escort
James will explain what to watch in the frame.

Hopefully someone can figure out what's going on? I have no clue!

I tried and checked this out. My video drivers are up to date, and this
problem only happens at abcnews.com homepage. This happens at no other
sites I visit. Should I just go to Microsoft help for a solution?

O.K. I'll check for updates to java. I just did another Windows update, and
it says everything is up to date.

The error I get from IE6 is:

szAppName : iexplore.exe szAppVer : 6.0.2800.1106 szModName :
hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

Still won't correct the problem..... ;-( This is getting to me and driving
me crazy!

Maybe it's this IE6 SP1 update causing the problem? When is there going to
be an update for this???? It only happens going to abcnews.com's homepage!
Where is Microsoft help?

I'm not going to pay for assistance! I'll keep posting this question and my
movie to broadcast my problem! Maybe someone can figure out, why I go to
this homepage!

Just ABCNEWS.com!

I can access the website using IE6 SP1 & MS Java VM with Win2K Pro.

Pete Duffy referred to java updates...what are you running Sun's or MS's?

Have you tested the browser's Java VM function at any test sites? If not, try this one:

http://coglab.wadsworth.com/support/browsercheck.html

If you're running Sun's JVM, try installing the MS version (both can be installed). See this site for download links:
http://n6hb.org/s-a/JAVA-ts.htm#ie_jvm

The above website also has a link to test your browser's Java.

Should I just go to Microsoft help for a solution?

Microsoft won't be able to do much with a QuickTime problem
except fingerpoint. Is there any alternative to QuickTime at that site?
Have you tried a different browser to verify that the problem is isolated
to IE6sp1?
