I don't remember how I upgraded to Office 2000 (which is registered under my
name). I thought I may have done it from Microsoft Works on a Dell desktop 4
or 5 years ago. In any case, I can't find any Office disks other than the
Office 2000 upgrade. I would like to install my Office 2000 upgrade onto a
laptop which has XP Pro (SP2), but it is looking for a previous version of
Office. Since Office 2000 upgrade is already registered under my name, what
do I need to do/get/buy to install it onto the laptop? Thank you for your
help.

To install an upgrade, you must first have a licensed FULL version of the
software. If you have a licensed full version of Office 97, for example,
then you can use your upgrade disks to bring it up to a later version.
