Warning = 16 bit windows subsystem

when I try to install my sonic record now , I am getting this error message=
16 bit windows subsystem
C:|WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. tHE SYSTEM FILE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RUNNING
MS-DOS AND WINDOWS APPLICATION. CHOOSE 'CLOSE TO TERMINATE THE APPLICATION.
How can I fix this problem and install my new software????? thanks magic57
