You were misinformed. You can reinstall Windows XP again
and if Product Activation should be unsuccessful via the internet
method, then simply chose the "activate by telephone" option.
There is no limit imposed for reactivation.

Clean Install Instructions:
The Windows XP CD is bootable and contains all the tools necessary
to partition and format your drive. Follow this procedure and allow
Windows XP to partition and format your drive:
NOTE: It would be best to physically disconnect all your peripheral hardware
devices, except for the monitor, mouse and keyboard, before installing XP.
1. Open your BIOS and set your CD Drive as the first bootable device.

| To all,
|
| I just installed XP Professional, and to my
| disappointment it kept some of the existing
| sudirectories .. I was really hoping when I clicked
| on "new installation" that it would wipe out everything.
|
| I am going to assume that I need to do a new installation
| (I just registered), but I also heard something that I
| may be limited in the number of times I can do this ..
|
| Any advice / thoughts / Comments are appreciated !
