Wanted: Freeware that downloads images from the web

Hi... anyone know of any freeware that will search a given url (and
all/some of its linking pages) and download (and possibly resize)
images to a
local folder? I need a lot of images for a photomosaic application
i've written... while i'm on the topic anyone interested in beta
testing once its ready for testing??

What you want to do may be quite illegal.

I think Free Download Manager will do that. But why in the world would you
want to do that?

The application started out as interesting challenge for me ;)

I've always liked photomosaics e.g. like this example:
http://www.ohio.edu/bicentennial/mosaic/index.cfm

not one of mine... but what my application will do... so you give it a
final image and 1000s of photos/images (the more the better) and it
will produce the final image made up of smaller version of the other
photos....
