I'm planning in buying a new Pentium computer. I already
have Win X on a Duron Pc. I plan in reinstalling win98
(meaning delete XP) on my old PC and move Win Xp to the
new computer?
Is the activation set permanently to my old computer????

cheers

Legally? Depends on the type of Windows XP you purchased and upgraded with
on the first PC.

Forgot to mentionned that I bought the XP version from a
store (it didn't came with the orignal PC). It has an
orange sticker at the back of the CD "box" with the
product key.. That mean it's not oem... right...?

Correct, it is retail.
Since it is retail, you are free to install and move to any computer
at any time as long as it is installed on no more than one computer at
a time.

If it is an upgrade, you will also need a qualifying OS assigned to
the computer.

Greetings --

Assuming a retail license (OEM licenses are not transferable),
simply remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on, and install
it onto the new one. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to
activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:
