want to record phone conversations

Can someone please tell me the how to record phone conver. to my hard drive
using MS Encoder9. please tell me requierments and also step by step set -up

Windows XP does not have the native capability
of recording telephone conversations. You need
to purchase a conventional tape recorder to use
with your telephone and observe all state and local
laws governing recorded telephone conversations.

I am not convinced that MS Encoder was designed for what you want to do..

Here are a couple of websites for you.. you should especially note some
salient facts contained in the second site.. like the fact that what you are
proposing to do may well be illegal..
